I took impression of finger with silicone materials this time.

I usually take impression for finger with alginate, but this time by silicone...

Because of my new idea.

I posted the video on Youtube again.




I used 20shore A silicone this time.
And white pigment and thixo are showing in the movie.





Totally I made three layers until I archieve desired thickness.

I tried another idea of investing way of finger prosthesis.

But....

I got back to normal.

Maybe I'm thinking too much.




Just opened the mold.
Normal invest way using stone.

The excess silicone came out at the side, is very thin this time.
It's acceptable and easy to remove it with a sharp scalpel.

After a lot of trial and error and new attempts, I got it a satisfactory level.

The new idea is still secret, but the janction area (excess silicone) is very thin and minimal.

 

The color of the base silicone is close enough to skin tone, and the characterization is done at the silicone filling stage, so the stain can be minimal.

Of course, it won't stand out even if the surface is rubbed and the color of the base comes out.






Time for final stain....

指のエピテーゼを作るのに新しいアイデアを試して結局、土曜　日曜とみっちり仕事しました。
結果としていつの間にか積み上がった累々たる屍、だんだんソーセージに見えてきた。

目下の課題はどうしてもエピテーゼ側面に残ってしまう合わせ目のバリ。
耳などの場合は削ってならすことができるのですが、指の場合なるべく指紋やシワを潰したくありません。

そして指という性格上、表面のステインに頼りすぎるとすぐに擦れて下地が見えてしまいます。

作った当初は良くてもあとですぐ色が変わるエピテーゼは作りたくないので・・・

色々と試して試して、気がつくとたくさんのソーセージが出来上がりました。



この写真は途中経過のもの。
ベースの色はまずまず、サイドの合わせ目もありませんが、ただ、色がベース色一色のみ。

せめて爪のところだけでもキャラクタライズしたいところです・・・・

悩みは尽きない・・気がつけばもう日曜の真夜中。




根本的なところから見直し、本日もう最後の一本にしようとシリコンを詰めたものがこれ。

型を開けた時点でちょっと手応えを感じました。

この指の本来の持ち主は結構褐色が強く関節部も特に色が濃い。
腹側は赤みが強いし、なかなか特徴の強い指の持ち主。

多分ようやく一つ扉が開いた感じ。

Many testing and trial new ideas.
I'm seeing like many sausages already.

My concerns of finger prosthesis are 

1, Junction line on the side
2, Base skin tone must be closer
3, Color of nail part

I've been working last weekend for this project.
Then I made many sausages.



This photo shows little okay skin tone but it's still mono color.

If I take no junction, hard to make chalacterizations.
Need to improve investing way.


Then the final result. no external stain yet.

It's already Sunday midnight......
